Fremont beats Millard South in thriller, earns spot in Class A title game
The #3 Fremont Tigers excelled late and outlasted #2 Millard South 70-64 in the Class A semifinal Friday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

LINCOLN - The #3 Fremont Tigers excelled late and outlasted #2 Millard South 70-64 in the Class A semifinal Friday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The teams were tied 56-56 entering the 4th quarter. The Tigers overcame top-scorer Taylor McCabe fouling out to win the final eight minutes 14-8 to secure the win.
With the win, Fremont qualifies for a state championship game for the first time in program history. The Tigers will have a chance to avenge two previous losses to Lincoln Pius X on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
