Bobcat Cheer Team to Compete in Heart Championship

(Peru, Neb.) – The Peru State competitive cheer team will be competing in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) championship Friday night, February 26.
 
MidAmerica Nazarene in Olathe, Kan., will be hosting the event inside their Cook Center.
 
Missouri Valley will take aim to claim its fifth consecutive conference title at the event.
 
This year's postseason event serves as a national qualifying event for the first time in Heart history. The winning team will clinch an automatic berth to the fifth annual NAIA Competitive Cheer Championship on March 12-13 in Davenport, Iowa.
 
Peru State's preliminary competition is scheduled for 6 p.m.
