Bobcat Senior Golfers Recognized
(Peru, Neb.) – At halftime of a recent women's basketball game, the Peru State senior golf members were recognized. Coach Sue Owen presented each of the seniors with a framed letter and photos.
The following is what was read about each senior that evening as they were introduced.
Allison Tichy
Bellevue, Nebraska, is home for Allison Tichy. Tichy signed to play basketball for the Bobcats after playing two years at North Platte Community College. After using finishing her basketball eligibility, Allison ended up as a member of the Bobcat golf for her final year of school. She is the daughter of Michelle and Greg Tichy. Allison is a kinesiology major with a minor in psychology. Her plans after graduation is to attend Clarkson College in their physical therapy assistant program. One of many Bobcat golf memories is having the team meetings at El Portal restaurant.
Kayla Myers
Sidney, Iowa, is called home for Kayla Myers. Kayla graduated from Heartland Christian School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Willo Myers. Kayla, who has been on the golf team for two years, is a math and secondary education graduate with a minor in business administration, accounting and history. She is currently working towards a master's degree in education while working as a para-associate at Sidney Community Schools. Eventually she plans to work as a high school math teacher and eventually move into politics. One of many favorite Bobcat memories for Kayla is having the opportunity to represent Peru State students on the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees during the 2019-2020 school year.
Vivian Brown

Her major is early childhood education inclusive and after graduation she plans to find a job in Bellevue in special education. One of many favorite Bobcat memories is all the fun golf trips and creating a bond with everyone who has been on the team, "almost" pushing Taylor in the Mississippi River with Sydney, and stealing all of Taylor's white tees throughout the years.
The golf team will begin its spring season Friday and Saturday, March 26 and 27, in Lamoni, Iowa, at the Graceland Invitational.
