OMAHA - Day one of Class B State Wrestling is complete.

Wrestling will resume Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Championship matches start at 7:00 p.m. Four Beatrice wrestlers advanced to the semifinals. They are Drew Arnold (132), Trevor Reinke (138), Torrance Keehn (170) and Deegan Nelson (182). Dylan Meyer (22) of Norris also advanced to the semifinals.

106: Fr. Gavin Vanover of Beatrice won by fall in 4:32 over Hudson Holoch of York… but lost by fall to Ashton Dane of Gering in the quarterfinals. Vanover then lost to Tyler Japp of Elkhorn North by major decision in the next round, ending his state tournament run.

106: Fr. Jamie Ramos of Crete lost by 5-0 decision to Garrett Schultz of Wayne… then was pinned by Cadyn Coyle of Bennington to end his state tournament

120: Jr. Bryce Karlin of Beatrice beat Gage Ryba of Platteview by 4-2 decision… then lost by fall in 3:03 to Austin Munier of Sidney. He was defeated again in the next round by Talyn Campbell of McCook.

126: Jr. Chase Eggleston of Norris earned a 6-4 decision over Braxton Peacher of Bennington… then lost by tech fall to Paul Garcia of Scottsbluff… and lost by 12-8 decision to Elijah Johnson of Hastings.

126: Jr. Colton Jelinek of Beatrice lost by fall in 3:21 to Brock Bolling of Pierce… then was pinned by Ashton Munsell of Wayne to end his state tournament

132: So. Caden Eggleston of Norris lost by 3-0 decision to Kevin Dominguez of Columbus Lakeview… but rebounded to get a pin in 3:57 over Reed Patera of Platteview. In his next match, Eggleston lost by fall to Kaleb Eliker of York.

132: Sr. Drew Arnold of Beatrice won by fall in 1:22 over Devon Ackles of Adams Central… then pinned Kaleb Eliker of York in 1:53 so Drew Arnold is on to the semis

138: Jr. Trevor Reinke of Beatrice won by tech fall over Jacob Janssen of Holdrege… then won by 7-1 decision over Hunter Heath of Minden to earn his spot in the semifinals.

152: Jr. Cooper Spaulding of Norris won by 5-1 decision over Daniel Wellnitz of Chadron… then lost by 13-5 major decision to Jett Samuelson of Hastings… Spaulding’s tournament run ended with a 10-3 decision to Cole Maschmann of Beatrice.

152: Jr. Cole Maschmann of Beatrice lost in the ultimate tiebreaker round of overtime to Mychaia Moss of Scottsbluff… then earned a pin in 2:53 against Kayden Jensen of Omaha Concordia… and notched a 10-3 decision over Cooper Spaulding of Norris.

160: Sr. Jarrett Koch of Beatrice lost in overtime to Chance Sjulin of Nebraska City… then won by major decision over Rhett Cullers of Chadron… before losing by 7-2 decision to Philip Halstead of Alliance.

170: So. Joao Croteau of Norris won in OT over Seth Erickson of York… then lost by fall to Zander Schweitzer of Pierce in the quarterfinals… Croteau’s tournament ended with a 3-0 decision loss to Sawyer Haag of Chadron.

170: Jr. Torrance Keehn of Beatrice won by 14-2 major decision over Carson Ross of Platteview… then won again, this time by 6-1 decision over Jackson Phelps of Hastings. Torrance Keehn is on to the semis

182: So. Deegan Nelson of Beatrice won by 3-2 decision over Jay Ballard of Boys Town… then earned an overtime win against Kaleb Pohl of Cozad to get a spot in the semifinals

195: Jr. Brock Ostdiek of Beatrice lost by fall in 1:26 to Lathan Duda of Broken Bow… and came back to register a pin against Sam Hemberger of Adams Central in 4:03 in the wrestle back bracket. In his next match, Ostdiek lost by 7-3 decision to Luke Lambert of Ashland-Greenwood.

220: Sr. Nolan Bahnson lost by 7-6 decision to Gabe Gaskill of Blair… then pinned Colton Donason of Ogallala in 1:36… and ended his tournament in an overtime loss to Martin Carrillo of Wayne.

220: Sr. Dylan Meyer of Norris won by fall in 5:32 over Leo Guenther of Platteview… then pinned Keifer Anderson of Broken Bow in 2:57. Dylan Meyer is on to the semis.

285: Jr. Kazz Hyson of Fairbury lost in the ultimate tiebreaker round of OT against Jake Stier of Bennington… then won by 7-0 decision against Ethan Libich of Gothenburg. Hyson’s tournament ended with a loss by decision to Reid Steinbeck of McCook.

285: Sr. Jason Uden of Crete won a 1-0 decision over Gavin Bailey of Nebraska City… and lost by fall to Sawyer Bumgarner in the next round. He earned a spot in day two with a pin of Tyler Pavelka of Adams Central in 2:17.

285: Sr. Dane Van Cleave of Norris lost by fall in 35 seconds to Trevor Brown of Waverly… Van Cleave lost to Lance Hume of Blair in his next match to end his tourney run.
