Snow began tapering off in northeast Nebraska Tuesday afternoon, but not before much of the area saw at least five inches of snow.

Snow began tapering off in northeast Nebraska Tuesday afternoon, but not before much of the area saw at least five inches of snow.

The video above came from Winside in Wayne County around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. Just northeast of Winside in the town of Wayne, about seven inches of snow was reported by midday.

Elsewhere in northeast Nebraska, 5.5 inches of snow was reported in Scribner by early afternoon, and 5.3 in Creston, which is in Platte County. Five inches was reported throughout Boone County and in the city of Norfolk, with all of those totals expected to go up this evening.
