Columbus, like the rest of the state, is taking cover as a winter storm hits the entirety of Nebraska.

Columbus, like the rest of the state, is taking cover as a winter storm hits the entirety of Nebraska.

While the area is not seeing wind gusts to the level of last week's blizzard, the Platte Valley is getting gusts up to 23 miles per hour, causing the already sub-freezing temperatures to feel like 10 degrees.

The snow is expected to continue throughout the afternoon and evening, producing a potential of up to 6 inches of accumulation.
