Nebraska City's Ellie Higgins Shines At Lincoln High Speech Meet

LINCOLN-The following are results from the virtual speech meet hosted by Lincoln High School.

 

Senior Ellie Higgins won her second consecutive triathlon award from the Lincoln High speech meet since she scored the most team points of any individual competing at the meet. Ellie earned 1st place in impromptu speaking, 2nd place in humorous prose, and 5th place in serious prose.

 

Additionally, teammate Isabelle Bare earned the 3rd place impromptu speaking award. As a result of these awards earned by the team, the Nebraska City High School speech team placed 5th in the team sweepstakes behind Millard North, Lincoln East, Omaha Brownell-Talbot, & Norris High School, respectively.
