OMAHA — A Beatrice man will spend a decade in prison on after pleading guilty to a federal drug charge.
Chief United States District Court Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced 40-year-old Chad Loseke to 10 years in prison and eight years of supervised release in federal court on Friday. Loseke had pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Authorities say Loseke approached Beatrice police officers in June 2019 when they were conducting a drug investigation at a motel. They arrested him for driving during suspension, searched his vehicle and recovered about three ounces of meth and drug paraphernalia. Prosecutors say he later admitted the meth was his.
The case was investigated by the Gage County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
