Beatrice Rural Firefighters sent to brush pile blaze, early Monday
Blaze was about an eighth of a mile, from roodway

BEATRICE – Beatrice Rural Firefighters were sent to a brush pile fire that broke not far from several round bales of hay, this morning.
Fire personnel and equipment were sent to a rural residence about an eighth of a mile off the east side of Southwest 32nd Road……about a mile south from Court Street in west Beatrice.
Firefighters called for mutual aid from Plymouth Fire for water tanker assistance. The fire was burning just east of a home at the location. The flames apparently did not spread to rows of round hay bales located at the scene.
A fire marshal investigator was summoned to the scene of the fire.
Although the main fire was out, Beatrice Rural Firefighters and equipment remained on scene at 9:30 a.m., ensuring nothing else caught fire.
