KEARNEY - McCool Junction finished its business on Friday night.

After finishing runners-up in 2019 the Mustangs returned to the state final and downed Sterling 70-20 to win the programs first state championship.

Owen McDonald led the way, rushing for a Nebraska Six-Man playoff record 393 yards. He scored eight touchdowns, tying the single-game scoring record.
