STANTON COUNTY - A Pilger woman is pleading guilty to taking funds from the Village of Pilger.

Former Pilger Village Clerk Kimberly Neiman entered her plea in Stanton County District Court on Monday.

Neiman is charged with attempted theft by unlawful taking after misappropriating more than $700,000 from the village.

Neiman has agreed to pay more than $44,000 in restitution as part of the plea agreement to the Village and the Pilger Fire Department.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on February 1st, 2021.
