MURRAY-Lourdes Central Catholic was able to take advantage of several turnovers to defeat the Conestoga Cougars by a score of 40-8.
The Knights relied on big plays to overcome the fight of the Cougars Friday night. Drew Walton was a force on defense for Lourdes Central Catholic as he had 3 first half sacks. Sophomore quarterback Vance Weninger showed his prowess through the air, and on the ground as he had a 70 yard touchdown strike to Joe Kearney and a 45 yard touchdown run.
For Conestoga their lone score came from a 50 yard touchdown run by Keaghon Chini. Lourdes will take on Freeman next week while Conestoga will go up against Cedar Bluffs
