National Monument to Host Homestead Fest Events
Events will take place on the open air stage, outside the Homestead National Monument of America Education Center

BEATRICE – The Homestead National Monument of America is hosting some outdoor events as part of this weekend’s Homestead Fest…..a replacement for the coronavirus-cancelled Homestead Days.
On Saturday, the monument will feature the Many Moccasins Dance Troupe….a Native American group that explores traditional and contemporary dance styles. That performance is at one p.m. At three o’clock Saturday, Rose Clauson will put on a presentation called Linked by Color….talking about what colors represent and the tapestry of colors that make up a community.
On Sunday at two p.m., the Homestead National Monument of America will host the Kenny Janak Orchestra, a nine-piece band that will feature polkas, waltzes and classic standard songs.
The monument is located four miles west of Beatrice, off Nebraska Highway Four.
