COLUMBUS - It was a bad week for a Ulysses man who twice had a run-in with Columbus police.

The first incident happened on Sunday, when police said officers responded to a hit-and-run near 23rd Street and 33rd Avenue.

CPD said when they tracked the vehicle down, the driver smelled like alcohol and that an 11-year-old was with him.  They said after doing a field sobriety test on 39-year-old Silas Alvisures Marroquin, they arrested him on suspicion of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and transporting a child while intoxicated.  They also impounded his vehicle.

It didn't end there.

CPD said two days later, Alvisures Marroquin went to pick up his vehicle, which was registered under a fake name using false documentation.

They said when authorities couldn't give the vehicle to him because it wasn't registered under his real name, he admitted to using a false name and handed them his fake ID.

They then cited him for identity fraud.

Alvisures Marroquin is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 14.
