(Peru, Neb.) – The Peru State football coaching staff recently announced the signing of transfer Addison "Jace" Stewart of Slocomb, Ala.
The son of Darren and Shanel Stewart will play at the free safety position for Peru State. Stewart graduated from Slocomb High School and played last year at Lyon (Ark.)

The 5-11, 170 pound Stewart was Lyon's second-leading tackler last year as a true freshman. He had 59 total tackles – 34 solo. He had 1.5 tackles for a loss of 7.5 yards, and one interception. In addition, Stewart had ten pass break-ups.
Stewart will be majoring in computer management information systems at Peru State.
The Peru State football team moved onto campus on Monday and began conditioning on Tuesday. The first official practice will be Saturday, August 15.
At present, the Bobcats first game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, at Benedictine in Atchison, Kan.
