Gage County Closing in on 100 Covid Cases...Saline County Now Tops 600
More younger people apparently being affected

BEATRICE – Gage County has nearly reached one-hundred cases of confirmed Covid-19. As of Monday, there had been 97 confirmed cases, according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
Gage County Emergency Management Coordinator Lisa Wiegand said last week it appeared that more younger people are being affected.
"We're seeing a younger crowd that's now testing positive. Now that the schools are open, we'll see how the schools transform and we begin to get some results from that".
Wiegand said Beatrice Community Hospital is now a testing site...and offers testing, Monday evenings from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.
"That's a 24 to 48-hour test site. They may be adding more dates to that. It just depends on the need for that".
Saline County has now registered over 600 cases……603, as of Monday. Also within the Public Health Solutions Health District, Fillmore County has reported 29 cases, while Thayer County has had 27 positive cases and Jefferson County, has had 19.
As of Monday morning, Nebraska has now recorded 30,273 positive cases…..and 361 reported deaths from Covid-19.
