Jim Mackey

Jim joined this world May 13th at an undisclosed time ago, in Beloit, Wisconsin. As a youngster he had dreams of being the next Johnny Cash. He got into radio purely by accident after he was encouraged by his speech teacher to go into a radio competition. He wanted to be a marine biologist at SeaWorld so he could play with Shamu, but after winning a State Championship in Radio Speaking, he learned he was destined for radio. He has spent the last 30+ years in the industry and is a CMA award nominated radio show host.

If you want to get on Jim’s good side, he loves steak and beer. He is also rather handy, as he enjoys building things. If you’re looking for good time, he can show you one, when he morphs into his alter ego “DJ Mack Daddy Jim” with Mackey Entertainment for all of your special events. If you’re looking to drive Jim wackey, just leave cupboard doors open, be late everywhere, and leave your shopping carts randomly in the parking lot. He has a huge heart, especially for the children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. If given the chance he would like to sit down for a conversation with JFK, and spend more time with his Dad because he always gave great advice. He is a newlywed to his wife Kelli, and has 3 girls and 2 adorable grandchildren, Landon and Stella. He’s honestly a big kid; he’s not afraid to play dress-up so if you see him downtown at the bar in a blow up T-rex costume or as a light up Xmas tree, don’t be too surprised.
