Omaha police identified the 27-year-old man who was shot near Jackson Tower early Friday morning.

OMAHA - Omaha police identified the 27-year-old man who was shot near Jackson Tower early Friday morning.

In a news release, police said the victim, Marcus Morrow, told police he heard a shot around midnight and realized he had been hit by a bullet. Police said Morrow first went to the apartment complex near 27th Street and Saint Marys Avenue for help and then went outside to wait for police.

Paramedics took him to the hospital with serious injuries.
