Another long-term care facility in Omaha has been hard hit by COVID-19.

Florence Home on the city’s far north side has seen 19 cases of the virus in the last two months, according to Lois Jordan the home’s President and CEO.

She tells News Channel Nebraska that 17 of the home’s 79 residents have tested positive since May, along with two staff members.

Asked if there have been any deaths among the 17 residents, Jordan said she had "no comment."

She says Florence Home is working with the Douglas County Health Department to try and get the virus under control.

According to Jordan, residents who have tested positive are screened every four hours, the other residents are tested twice a day.
