Scottsbluff Police Department Hosting SWAT Training This Week

SCOTTSBLUFF, NE - The Scottsbluff Police Department is hosting a week-long SWAT Basic Training Course this week for the county's SWAT Team. 

According to a news release from the Scottsbluff Police Department, SWAT Team members from around the region are attending the training. Training is provided with assistance from Homeland Security grant funding. 

The training includes in-classroom and practical exercises that will occur in Scottsbluff and Gering. The National Tactical Officer's Association will be providing instruction. 

The department wants the public to be aware of the training and to know they may see some of these officers training over the course of the week. Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact the Scottsbluff Police Department.
