Trail Undercrossings at Benjamin and Norfolk Ave Remain Closed as Contractors Begin Work

NORFOLK - Work has begun on the Norfolk Levee Repair project in an effort to return the Norfolk Levee to its condition prior to the flood of 2019.

Part of the project is to reconstruct the trail undercrossings at Benjamin and Norfolk Avenue that were washed out with the flood.

City officials say these undercrossings are currently not safe for pedestrian traffic and citizens should not attempt to use these undercrossing trails until construction is complete.

Reconstruction of the damaged undercrossing trails is expected to be complete by October 2020.
