SIDNEY - Power companies were out most of the night trying to restore power after severe storms ripped through the region with strong winds Monday night.

Wheat Belt Public Power District says they lost 50 power poles between Sidney and Broadwater. They are dealing with widespread outages, because of downed power lines.

The restoration may take some time, but please know our guys are working to get your power back on."
