BEATRICE – Jefferson Community Health and Life is adding a new visiting specialist.

Dr. Rebecca Bowen is an Otolaryngology surgery specialist and will begin visiting the Fairbury hospital’s Outpatient Services on June 8^th. She fills a void with the retirement of Dr. H. Russell Semm.

JCH and L Chief Executive Officer Burke Kline says having a wide array of visiting specialists will help the hospital better serve the community’s needs.

Bowen is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and joined ENT Specialities P.C., in 2017. She holds a biochemistry degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and completed her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, in Omaha…in 2007.

Bowen did residency training at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. She practiced for five years in Texas, at ENT Clinics of San Antonio. Bowen treats pediatric and adult ear, nose and throat disorders…and has a special interest in chronic sinusitis, allergies and thyroid disease.

Bowen and her husband have two daughters.
