The Gering Platte Valley Companies Seniors and B/C Steel Juniors started practice in the morning and numbers close to the usual numbers for the teams.

On the senior side several key players return from last season's state tournament team ready to make a run at a winning season. Gering begins the season June 18th against Ogallala.

Westco started their first practice in the afternoon. Both the Zephyrs and Express ready for another season that features a schedule that includes the likes of North Platte, Chadron., Alliance, Cheyenne, Rapid City, and Buckley .

Just like Gering, Zephyrs return from a trip to the state tournament and numbers are pretty steady for involvement and they are ready to open the season.

Westco and Gering will square off June 29 in Scottsbluff and again on July 9 at Gering.
