House approves changes to small biz aid program
There could be some changes coming to the paycheck protection program.

WASHINGTON D.C. - There could be some changes coming to the paycheck protection program.
That's the program set up to help small businesses with emergency loans during the pandemic.
Thursday, the Hose voted to make the loan more flexible, hopefully making them more accessible.
Currently, small businesses have eight weeks to use the money to qualify for loan forgiveness.
With this bill, they'd have 24.
It would also let them use more of the money to pay their employees, and they could defer payroll taxes.
The Legislation heads to the Senate now. They'll be back in session next week.
