A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM MDT
FOR CHEYENNE AND SOUTHEASTERN KIMBALL COUNTIES...
At 613 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Gurley to near Brownson to 12 miles west of
Peetz, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Sidney, Potter, Lodgepole, Gurley, Colton, Sunol, Brownson, Lorenzo
and Sidney Airport.
This includes Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 38 and
76.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.
