NORFOLK - Police say a rescue call turned into a major drug bust in Norfolk last month.

It started in April when Police got a call about an overdose in Norfolk at a residence in the 800-block of Chestnut Street. That's in the recently opened Nor-Park Subdivision.

Police say they used Narcan to revive 26-year old Jasmine Chaves. Officers say they noticed heroin in her car and that began a month-long investigation involving the U.S. Marshal's taskforce.

When police searched the residence they say they found hundreds of pieces of material used to distribute drugs, revealing an operation to sell marijuana along with the prescription medications oxycodone, tramadol and codeine.

Police also found six firearms, including an AR-15 stolen from Iowa.

Police arrested Chaves in Norfolk earlier this month in connection to the drug ring while U.S. Marshals arrested 23-year old Rachel Daniels and 24-year old Rodrigo Hernandez in Florida. Daniels and Hernandez are still in Florida awaiting extradition.
