Nebraska to go Ahead with Legion Baseball Season

Just five days after the national headquarters of American Legion baseball had canceled seasons for the remaining 25 states that hadn't done so yet, the Nebraska American Legion baseball organization has announced that a season will indeed be played.

Just five days after the national headquarters of American Legion baseball had canceled seasons for the remaining 25 states that hadn't done so yet, the Nebraska American Legion baseball organization has announced that a season will indeed be played.

Nebraska isn't the only state branching off on their own.  The state of North Dakota on Thursday released plans to host season, as well.

A meeting amongst the Nebraska Athletic Committee will be held today to discuss how they intend to make the season work.

Chadron First National Bank Omaha Nationals coach Bruce Parish has already released a partial schedule of games they expect to play this summer.  It's includes home and away games with Alliance, Gordon, Bridgeport, Gering, and Sidney with more expected to be added in the near future.

Governor Pete Ricketts announced earlier this week that baseball and softball can begin practice on June 1st with games starting on June 18th as long as certain guidelines are followed.
