LINCOLN - Three more Nebraska health departments will soon see relaxed Directed Health Measures.
Governor Pete Ricketts announced Monday that Public Health Solutions, South Heartland, and Two Rivers health departments will join the rest of the state in the reopening process on May 18. The relaxed DHM allows in-person businesses like restaurants, salons, and tattoo shops to reopen if they follow certain guidelines. The relaxed rules also raise childcare room occupancy from 10 to 15.
The three districts have been among the hardest hit in the state. Two Rivers reports 873 COVID-19 cases, Public Health Solutions reports 416 cases and South Heartland reports 243 cases.
On the 18th, the Central and Dakota County health departments will be the only districts still under the most restrictive DHM.
