SCOTTSBLUFF - Two people died after a pair of vehicles collided east of Scottsbluff.

The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's office said the crash happened around 9 a.m. Saturday on near the intersection of Highland Road and County Road 27, about 3.5 miles east of Scottsbluff.

The sheriff’s office said a 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by Quinten Mozaffarian, 25 of Scottsbluff, dipped off the road onto a soft shoulder before over-correcting and crossing the center line. The vehicle collided with a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Lindsay Lookabill, 35 of Minatare.

Mozaffarian was pronounced dead at the scene. Lookabill was taken to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff with serious injuries. She died on Sunday.
