NELIGH - We now have video from the scene of a freak accident from northeast Nebraska last night.
The surveillance video comes to us from a security camera on the east side of Lucky Joe's Liquor in Neligh.
Police say the semi driver lost control of his cattle trailer while turning on Highway 275 just before midnight. The semi overturned and cattle shot through the roof of the trailer.
Police say three cows were dead by the time they arrived. Four cows had to be euthanized by a local veterinarian. The remaining cattle were rounded up by local cattlemen and taken to the county fairgrounds.
Police say the driver suffered minor injuries.
The trailer took out a streetlight, a fire hydrant, and a sign. The ice chest was the only liquor store property to be seriously damaged.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
