Sidney Peck Signs With Peru State Volleyball

Peru State head volleyball coach Laurie Felderman recently announced the signing of Sidney Peck from College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate High School in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

(Peru, Neb.) – Peru State head volleyball coach Laurie Felderman recently announced the signing of Sidney Peck from College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate High School in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
 
This is the first Canadian signing for the volleyball team in many years.
 
Peck is a 5-6 right side/setter and is the daughter of Steve and Correna Peck. She is currently undecided about her collegiate major at this moment in time. 

Among her volleyball accomplishments, during grade 12, her team finished third in their league players after finishing second during grade 11. Her 17 and under club volleyball team finished tenth in the Canada national tournament.
 
Peck was on the academic honor roll in grades 9, 10, and 11. In addition, she was on the athletic honor roll in grades 10 and 11 as well. Peck was named as the athlete of the year in grade 10.
 
In addition, to volleyball, Peck played hockey and basketball. She was an assistant team captain for the hockey team in grade 11 and was the team captain in the grade 12. 
 
Peck's hockey team was in the high school soccer provincial championship in grade 9 and her basketball team was the provincial champions in grade 9.
 
Coach Felderman commented, "Sidney is a versatile student-athlete not only on the volleyball court but also as a multi-sport athlete. We are excited for her go-getter mentality to make our program stronger on the court, and continue a history of excellence in the classroom."
