Creek Valley to hold graduation cruise Saturday

Creek Valley schools will hold a graduation cruise on Saturday, May 9, to honor the class of 2020. 

The school is encouraging families to go on their front doorsteps and cheer on the graduates as they cruise through Chappell and Lodgepole. The cruise starts at 3:00 p.m.

Graduates will start at the high school and make their way down Highway 30 to 1st street in Chappell. They will work their way north through town before heading to Lodgepole. 

Residents are also encouraged to drop off cards or gifts for the graduates at the high school parking lot between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each student will have a pallet and basket for gifts and cards. Staff will be present during the drop off time. 

If weather concerns arise, a decision on whether the event will go on will be posted to Creek Valley's social media accounts. If needed, the cruise will be moved to Sunday, May 10.

An in-person graduation ceremony is scheduled for July 25 at 3:00 p.m.
