Central District Health Department says it's experiencing delays in test results
The Central District Health Department said there's several reasons why you may be waiting longer than expected to get test results.
GRAND ISLAND - If you got swabbed for the coronavirus at one of the community testing events in Grand Island last week, you may be waiting longer than expected to get your results.
The Central District Health Department said there's several reasons for that.
Health director Teresa Anderson said the health department tested around 1,000 people last week. She said even though they are distributing their tests to several different labs, because of the surge of tests coming in, they want to make sure they're delivering test results smoothly.
The health department also said there was a glitch in lab reporting.
Anderson said the department is working as quickly as it can, but that it wants to contact those who tested positive first.
