Elm Avenue Bridge Closure to Begin Tuesday, April 28

NORFOLK - Repairs on a bridge in Norfolk are set to begin later this month.

The City of Norfolk says Wednesday that bridge repairs on the Elm Avenue Bridge between 3rd Street and 4th Street is set to begin next Tuesday.

The project consists of deck repair, approach mill and overlay, and sidewalk repair.

The bridge closure is expected to last 45 days.

A signed detour route will be provided, directing traffic north and south on Riverside Blvd and 1st Street and east and west on Benjamin Avenue.
