A two vehicle accident led to an individual being air lifted to Lincoln Monday night in Jefferson County.

Shortly after 8 PM the Jefferson County 911 communications received a call of a two vehicle rollover accident at the intersection of Highway 15 and Highway 4 north of Fairbury.

Accident investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol determined A 2003 Toyota driven by 28 year-old Jake Howard of Fairbury and a female occupant failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a 2020 Ford F150 driven by 37 year-old Matthew Truelock of Duncan Oklahoma. Both vehicles rolled and came to rest on their sides.

All three subjects were transported to Jefferson Community Health & Life in Fairbury. The passenger of the 2003 Toyota was air lifted to a Lincoln Hospital, and the current conditions of the occupants is unknown at this time.

Daykin Fire and Rescue, Fairbury Rural Fire, Jefferson County Ambulance District #33, Nebraska State Patrol and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene of the accident.
