SEWARD COUNTY - A Lincoln man is dead after a motorcycle accident in Seward County early Sunday morning.

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a single vehicle crash on Highway 6 and 294th Road just after midnight.

Authorities say the investigation showed that a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Highway 6 when it veered off the road and went through the ditch.

The driver, 20-year-old Connor Brown, was taken to Seward Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and Brown was wearing a helmet.

The preliminary investigation shows that speed was a factor.

The crash is still under investigation.
