Despite intermittent rain and a temperature of 35 degrees with a north wind of 25 mph making it feel like 23 degrees, cars and trucks filled the Gage County fairgrounds this morning for a drive-in community Easter church service sponsored by St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice.

Pastor Ernesto Medina told those attending that on this particular Easter Sunday, churches and sanctuaries across the country are empty due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but he said that as he looked at the number of vehicles it was apparent that "Jesus was Alive on the fairgrounds".  At the end of the service, Pastor Ernesto declared it the “best Easter service ever”.

Special music was provided thru out the one hour service as those attending honked their horns frequently showing appreciation for those making the special service possible.
