Winter weather advisory remains in effect for southern panhandle

The National Weather Service is still expecting two to four inches of snow in the Nebraska panhandle by the end of the day Sunday.

SIDNEY - The National Weather Service is still expecting two to four inches of snow in the Nebraska panhandle by the end of the day Sunday. 

A winter weather advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight to 12 p.m. Sunday for the majority of the panhandle, plus Keith, Arthur and Perkins County. A winter storm warning is in effect from Dawes, Sioux and Sheridan Counties.

Gusty winds at 35 MPH are also forecast.

The weather service says to plan on slippery road conditions and low visibility due to blowing snow. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
