Lower Big Blue NRD Limits Recreation Area Activities
Precautions during the pandemic being taken by local natural resources district

BEATRICE – The Lower Big Blue Natural Resources District is limiting some activities at ten recreation areas within the district, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
As of Monday, NRD recreation areas remain open, but use of camping areas with tents or recreational vehicles will not be permitted. Restroom facilities will not be available.
The use of picnic tables and playground equipment is being strongly discouraged, because they are not regularly disinfected.
Day activities such as hiking, fishing and boating are still allowed. The NRD urges you to abide by social distancing recommendations and avoid group gatherings.
The Lower Big Blue NRD has cancelled the 19th annual youth fishing and casting contest, which was set for May 16th at the Willard Meyer Recreation Area…and hopes to resume that event next year.
