CRETE - Tony Siske has won boys basketball state championships as head coach at two different schools.

Now, he'll have a chance at a third.

Crete Activities Director B.T. Kracl announced on Friday that Siske has accepted the head basketball coaching position for the Cardinals.

Siske spent the last four years as head coach in Norfolk, where he went 55-45 and guided the Panthers to the 2017 Class A state title.

Siske is no stranger to Class B. Prior to his time in Norfolk, he coached Scottsbluff for nine years, where his teams went a combined 177-70 and won the 2012 Class B title.

Siske takes over for Garrett Borcher, who was at the helm of the Cardinal program for two seasons.
