Nebraska City-They’re eggs and they are popping up in windows of homes and businesses all over Nebraska City. The Great Nebraska City Egg Hunt has taken the town by storm, and it all started with a Facebook group.

 The creator of the Great Nebraska City Egg Hunt Facebook group Kris Hunzeker explains it’s just about bringing the community together, and brightening the day of everyone involved.

Hunzeker-“We started the Facebook group the Great Nebraska City Egg Hunt, and it’s just to get everybody in the community engaged, and out looking for the eggs.  Right now I think we’re close to 200 people in the group maybe a little bit over now. 

 Just color some eggs, put them on your windows. So then kids can go out, and when the families are out on walks, or when they are out driving around to get out of the house to get out of the stir craziness.  They can look for the eggs, and kind of do a little hunt. 

Also when we come across other stuff we’ll put it on there.  Like there’s a scavenger hunt suggestion so you can go around town and find different things.  The nice thing was is that I didn’t come up with this, it started with the Great Lincoln Easter Egg Hunt and I was invited to that group by my sister, and it’s just grown from there.   I know these are going on in communities all across the state, and the U.S.  It’s just something to bring the community together, and to help people get out, and brighten up their day since everybody is doing this self isolation”.
