Beatrice Community Hospital Imposes Limits at Patient Appointments
Local hospital limiting attendance with patients, because of coronavirus concern

BEATRICE - Beatrice Community Hospital is limiting the number of people at medical appointments, as a precaution because of the COVID-19 threat.
Effective immediately, for adult patients, one healthy support partner may accompany them.
For pediatric patients, one healthy adult caregiver is allowed with the patient, but no extra children are allowed at those visits.
Hospital officials say if it is not feasible to attend an appointment without bringing extra children or others because of a school closure, BCH staff say you should call ahead and the clinic staff will work with you at that time.
The policy limiting visitors also applies to acute care, the emergency department and labor & delivery....essentially one adult visitor at a time, and no children.
All weekend patients and visitors must enter Beatrice Community Hospital through the Emergency Department Entrance.
The Main Entrance is now open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and locked nights and weekends. During nights and weekends, patients and visitors will need to use the Emergency Department entrance.
BCH has also begun screening all visitors and patients when they enter the hospital building, including the Main Entrance, the Women’s and Children’s Clinic Infusion Center Entrance, and the Emergency Department Entrance.
All patients/visitors will be screened, have temperature taken, signed into a log, and given a visitor badge to wear while in the hospital.
