LINCOLN - Winter weather and severe weather are both expected across the state, leading to a very interesting weather day for Nebraska.

While snowy conditions are expected for parts of western and central Nebraska, the eastern half of the state is under the gun for severe weather this afternoon.

Check out this footage from northwest Lincoln where rain started to downpour shortly after 4:50 PM Central Standard Time.

According to the National weather service eleven southeast Nebraska counties are in a tornado watch until 11 AM.

Those include: Lancaster, Cass, Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, Saline, and Sarpy.
