BEEMER - An Arkansas man is in jail after an accident where his car drove into the front of a convenience store in Beemer.

Beemer Chief of Police Jeremy Goeken says on Tuesday morning around 10:50 a.m., the Beemer Police Department was sent to the Village Express convenience store for a report of a vehicle that ran into the building.

Authorities had contact with the driver, 49-year-old Terry Rose of Lowell, Arkansas.

After an investigation, he was arrested for aggravated DUI and careless driving.

Goeken says Rose was found to have a BAC of 0.272, in excess of 3 times the legal limit.

Rose was taken to the Thurston County Jail by the Cuming County Sheriff’s Office where he was jailed pending a court appearance.

The building and vehicle both sustained minor damage, and no injuries were reported.
