The Bluejays are the top seed for the first time.
They likely will be without their second-leading scorer in guard Marcus Zegarowski. He is doubtful for the first game at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The tournament opens with two games Wednesday. St. John's plays Georgetown and DePaul faces Xavier (19-12). Creighton plays St. John's or Georgetown the next day.
