LINCOLN - The Pleasanton Bulldogs closed out a perfect season to win their first ever State Championship!

It was a slow start for Pleasanton, shooting just 3-11 in the first quarter... They actually trailed Archbishop Bergan 24-20 at the half.

A solid third quarter put the Bulldogs on top.

Kaia McIntyre gets the basket and the foul to bring Archbishop Bergan within three... but Natalie Siegel immediately hit a three on the other end to give the momentum back to the Bulldogs... Siegel ended with 14 points, hitting 3/4 from behind the arc.

Pleasanton made 9 free throws down the stretch to go on for the 47-38 win. The Bulldogs claim their first State Title in program history with a perfect 28-0 record.

With the win, Pleasanton is the first D1 team to go undefeated since Bancroft-Rosalie in 2008.
