Nebraska City-Southeast Community College in Nebraska City is offering Adult Education Classes for individuals who want to further their learning.

Area Volunteer Coordinator for Southeast Community College, Jodi Freeman tells News Channel Nebraska about the courses.

“In Nebraska City we offer four courses a week.  Two Adult Basic Education GED Courses, and two English as a Second Language Courses. Adult Basic Education is the basics of reading, math, language, social studies, and then you can take your GED test after you have reached a certain level.  English as a Second Language starts with the very basics of learning the English Language, and works all the way up to higher skills.  Where then we can refer you on to paid courses to continue on, whether it be a specific job role  or a specific need that you may have.   All of our classes in Nebraska City throughout the area are free of charge, anybody can come.   We ask that people who want enroll come the second week of the month whether it’s Monday/Wednesday for Adult Education or Tuesday/Thursday for English as a Second Language to get started.”
