SIDNEY, NE - Winter weather moving through Wyoming is causing roads to be closed.
According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation, Interstate 80 is closed in both directions from Rawlins to the Interstate 25 junction near Cheyenne.
The Wyoming 511 map shows that partial closures exist along the Interstate all the way to Rock Springs, Wyoming.
WYDOT says the estimated opening time for the roads is between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
U.S. Highways 30 and 287 are also experiencing closures in the same areas.
The National Weather Service out of Cheyenne has placed several parts of southern Wyoming in either a Winter Weather Advisory or High Wind Warning.
The High Wind Warnings last until 5:00 p.m. Monday. The NWS says winds may gust as high as 70 mph.
With the Winter Weather Advisory, blowing and accumulating snow is expected. The expiration time of the Advisory varies, depending on location. Some areas will see it expire at 5:00 p.m. today.
In mountain ranges, such as the Sierra Madre and Northern Laramie Mountain Ranges, and farther east into the northern Nebraska Panhandle with Dawes and Sioux counties will see the Advisory last into Tuesday afternoon.
Always check your state's 511 map for the latest road conditions.
