Sidney police looking into complaints of counterfeit bills

The Sidney Police Department is urging local businesses and residents to use caution after receiving complaints of counterfeit bills being passed in the area.

The police department first received a complaint about possible counterfeit bills on Wednesday. 

In a Facebook post, Sidney police say businesses and citizens should "exercise all diligence when accepting cash."

Authorities say if you have questions or feel you have taken a suspicious bill, you should contact the Sidney Police Department at 308-254-5515.
